SAFETEC surge arresters
Protection devices against transient overvoltages (microseconds)
The SAFETEC devices are in possession of the 3rd edition UL certification and conform to IEC-61643-1.
Each SAFETEC C(R) device, with its modular design and Class II / Type 2 / C protection withstands maximum discharge currents, Imax, of up to 40 kA per pole; TN-C connections; L-PEN mode protection; operative temperature range frome -40 to +80 °C; protection level IP20 and telesignalling contact (CR versions).
The outstanding feature of this protection, which is new and unique on the market, is its thermal control device which puts it ahead of its competitors in terms of characteristics, features and reliability.
The SAFETEC range stands out from other Class II transient surge arresters in that it does not require a previous fuse to facilitate its cut-off.
To sum up, the SAFETEC protection devices C(R) dispense with the need for a previous fuse, prolong the useful life and offer a safe cut-off from the mains. Moreover, they prevent the generation of arc lights subsequent to the action of the thermal control (TC) which substitutes the external fuse found in other ranges of protection devices.
